Russia: The Need to Stop Escalation in the Middle East

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia's communications with Iran and Israel are "constructive and intensive." Peskov added in press remarks: "Russia continues close communications with both sides. We have very constructive working contacts with Tehran, and at the same time, we also have communications with Israel that are also constructive." Peskov reiterated Russia's call for the necessity to stop escalation in the Middle East and to exercise restraint. He emphasized that the continuation of the conflict in the Middle East is not in the interest of Israel, Iran, or the region as a whole.
