Video - The King of Jordan Participates in Airdrop of Aid to Gaza

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan participated yesterday, Tuesday, in the airdrop operations carried out by aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force to provide relief and food aid to the people of the Gaza Strip. Six C130 aircraft took off from the capital Amman, including three from the Royal Jordanian Air Force and three others (Emirati, Egyptian, and French), as part of the humanitarian aid operation aimed at alleviating the suffering of the residents of the region, with the participation of brotherly and friendly countries.

The King directly monitored the stages of preparing and loading the aircraft before their takeoff from the King Abdullah II Air Base. These airdrops aimed to deliver aid directly to the civilians by dropping it along the coastline of the Gaza Strip in an operation conducted without parachute guidance systems, requiring the aircraft to fly at low altitudes.

The assistance that was airdropped included relief and food supplies, including high-nutrition ready-to-eat meals, to ease the hardships faced by the people in Gaza due to the difficult conditions they are enduring. One of the aircraft was designated for the Jordanian Field Hospital/2 in southern Gaza, which is suffering from a severe shortage of essential supplies, as it was provided with relief, medical supplies, health materials, and fuel.

These airdrops are part of the international support for Jordan's ongoing role in unifying efforts to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip, whether by air or land, which requires the opening of crossings and land routes to intensify the process of delivering sufficient and sustained aid.
