The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the "control over the town of Omanski in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine." In a statement, it noted that "units of the Center Group managed to liberate the village of Umanskoye (Omanski in Ukrainian) in the Donetsk People's Republic."
