Israeli media reported today, Thursday, that "two Israelis were killed in a shooting incident near the settlement of Eli, south of Nablus in the West Bank." The "Magen David Adom" stated that "two individuals were severely injured in a shooting attack on Highway 60, at the entrance to the Eli settlement in the Binyamin mountains, and two suspects have been neutralized so far."
The newspaper "Yediot Ahronot" added that "an investigation is underway into a suspected shooting attack at a gas station near the Eli settlement." It further noted: "A suspect believed to be the 'terrorist' was neutralized immediately, and investigations are ongoing, as security forces conduct searches in the area for additional suspects."
Additionally, the road connecting Ramallah and Nablus was closed near the entrance to the town of Eastern Luban, south of Nablus. There is a heightened alert among occupation forces around the Eli settlement following the shooting incident.
