Israeli Strikes on Hezbollah Sites in Damascus (Video)

Israeli missiles targeted at least two sites, one of which contained a weapons shipment within a military facility of the Syrian army used by Hezbollah, and the other near the engineering battalion. Both locations are situated between Yabroud and Nabek in the Qalamoun mountains in the rural area of Damascus, leading to large explosions and flames at one of the sites, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Syrian Observatory has recorded 24 instances of Israeli strikes on Syrian territory, 16 of which were aerial and 8 ground-based. These attacks resulted in the injury and destruction of approximately 46 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles. The strikes have caused the deaths of 43 military personnel and injured 21 others with varying degrees of injuries.

The Syrian army reported that Israeli missiles launched from the Golan Heights towards Syria resulted in the injury of a Syrian soldier in the early hours of Sunday. The Syrian army's statement indicated that the Israeli strikes targeted several locations in the southern region but did not specify an exact location. The statement noted: "Our air defense systems intercepted the missiles of the aggression and shot down some of them, resulting in the injury of a soldier and material losses."
