Oman Hosts the 15th Arab Theatre Festival in Early 2025

The Arab Theatre Authority announced today, Tuesday, the holding of the 15th Arab Theatre Festival from January 10 to January 16, 2025, in Muscat, the capital of Oman. The authority, headquartered in the Emirate of Sharjah, has been organizing the festival since 2009 in a different Arab capital each year in collaboration with local relevant authorities. The 2024 edition was held in Baghdad, Iraq.

The Secretary-General of the authority, Ismail Abdullah, stated: "We are fully confident that this edition will open windows to an important part of the land, history, and culture of this precious Arab region. Oman, with its rich history and glorious present, deserves our utmost attention." He added that the authority "is diligently working to make the fifteenth edition a milestone for developing and renewing the spirit of the Arab Theatre Festival, which has become an important date on the agendas of Arab theater professionals."

The Arab Theatre Authority was established in 2007 as a non-profit organization concerned with Arab theater affairs and has a close relationship with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
