The Houthis announced in a statement today, Tuesday, that they have shot down a U.S. drone over Al-Bayda governorate. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarek stated that "the air defense forces of the Yemeni armed forces shot down an American MQ-9 drone while it was carrying out hostile missions in the airspace of Al-Bayda." Sarek added that "the drone was targeted with a locally made surface-to-air missile," noting that footage of the downing of the American drone will be released later. Last week, the Houthis declared that they had shot down a U.S. drone of the same type in Marib.
