Air traffic at Munich Airport came to a standstill early Saturday morning after climate activists entered the airport's secure area. A spokesperson for the airport stated that "the airport is closed for security reasons, as climate activists glued themselves to the runways." The spokesperson clarified that "the planned landing flights at the airport starting from 5 AM have been affected so far, while departure flights start at 6 AM," noting that planes scheduled to land in Munich have been diverted to other airports.
