Barcelona officials are racing against time to offload Ansu Fati, the team's forward who is on loan at Brighton in England, by the end of the current season. The Catalan newspaper "Sport" reported that Fati will return to the Catalan team at the end of his loan; he has scored 4 goals in 26 matches and is not a regular starter for the English team.
The report added that the young striker reached his best physical condition in November, but suffered a muscle injury that sidelined him at Brighton. It confirmed that Fati's priority is to return to Barcelona, but he, along with his close associates and agent Jorge Mendes, fully understands that he is out of the new project for the Catalan team.
It pointed out that Jorge Mendes has started searching for loan offers for Ansu Fati, who is under contract until the summer of 2027, with Wolverhampton appearing to be an available option. However, the intention is leaning more towards returning Ansu Fati to Spain to play for a La Liga club, with both Valencia and Sevilla showing interest in loaning him.
The newspaper concluded its report by noting that while Barcelona is looking to permanently rid themselves of Fati, no club is capable of paying his salary, making a loan the most likely outcome.
