Egypt to Participate in EU Meeting on Gaza

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will participate in the upcoming joint meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, alongside several Arab foreign ministers and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, to discuss the situation in Gaza. The official spokesperson and director of public diplomacy at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid, stated that Minister Shoukry is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings during the visit with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, and several of his European counterparts, to consult and coordinate on ways to resolve the Gaza crisis, work towards a political horizon to revive the peace process, and achieve the vision of a two-state solution.
