According to information from "An-Nahar," the French Embassy delivered the content of the French document to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at 7 PM regarding achieving a ceasefire in the south between Israel and "Hezbollah." Informed French sources told "Al-Jadeed" that "the Élysée Palace prepared amendments to the original document following remarks from the concerned parties and the meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Najib Mikati."
It was added: "The amendments to the French document addressed the issue of repositioning in the southern Litani region and its challenges, which were discussed in the French behind-the-scenes due to U.S. and Israeli objections. The document is based on the implementation of Resolution 1701 and is structured to separate the negotiation file in Lebanon from Gaza. Importantly, this effort is being coordinated fully with the American administration."
According to "Al-Jadeed," the French document will not address the presidential file, especially since Sigourney did not bring any proposals in this regard. The matter remains in the hands of Jean-Yves Le Drian, and there is nothing serious to rely on presidentially.
