## Etihad Airways Considers Purchasing Aircraft from Airbus and Boeing

The CEO of Etihad Airways announced that the company will consider purchasing a small number of Airbus and Boeing aircraft over the next five years if the two manufacturers offer delivery opportunities. The Abu Dhabi-based airline plans to increase its fleet of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft to 150 over the next five years, compared to about 80 it currently has, indicating plans to add between 10 to 15 new aircraft annually. Most of these new planes will be added through existing orders for Airbus A320 and A350, as well as Boeing 787.
