A responsible source at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt revealed details about the committee formed by the Minister of Higher Education, which is currently studying the development of the Egyptian university education system. The source stated in comments to the Egyptian website "Cairo 24" that "this applies to all types of universities, including public, private, community, and technological institutions." The committee is working on a study to change the admission systems for universities, in addition to allocating the number of accepted students among various Egyptian colleges.
The source indicated that "the committee has been working for nearly two months to study all aspects of Egyptian university education, including the admission process, infrastructure, and teaching systems. It was also noted that global and Arab educational systems were reviewed, and after completing the study, it will be presented to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, followed by discussions at the Supreme Council of Universities."
The source confirmed that the new system will not be implemented all at once in Egyptian universities, but there will be an initial application. Each year will see the continuation of the previous phase until the entire system is fully implemented within a period of up to five years.
