Iran's Acting President Meets with Egyptian Foreign Minister Samah Shoukry

According to the Tasnim News Agency, acting Iranian President Mohammad Mokhber received Egyptian Foreign Minister Samah Shoukry on Wednesday, who arrived in Tehran to participate in memorial ceremonies for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. During the meeting, Mokhber stated, "The efforts of Ayatollah Raisi and Dr. Amir-Abdollahian in supporting the oppressed people of Gaza will not be forgotten." Shoukry responded, "I bring messages of condolences from the Egyptian president and the Sheikh of Al-Azhar to the government and people of Iran. The Iranian system has strong roots and foundations; Egypt seeks to strengthen relations with Iran." Egypt sent its Foreign Minister Samah Shoukry to represent the Egyptian government at the official mourning ceremonies for the Iranian president.
