Floods Sweep Southern Germany

Many regions in Bavaria, Germany declared a state of emergency on Saturday following heavy rainfall, flooding, and dam collapses in the southern part of the country, according to "Russia Today." Local authorities reported that many residents in the Augsburg area were forced to leave their homes, with some being evacuated by helicopters. A water barrier and a dam collapsed, and the Schmatrer River overflowed, flooding roads. Similarly, the authorities in Aichach-Friedberg, Neu-Ulm, Bafinhausen, and Donau-Ries also declared a state of emergency to better coordinate relief efforts.
