Israeli Foreign Minister revealed today, Thursday, that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reversed his previous position and lifted many trade restrictions imposed on Israel, adding that the lesson learned is not to succumb to the threats of a "dictator." A source from the Turkish Ministry of Commerce stated today that "easing the export ban to Israel is not on the table, but Ankara will allow companies to fulfill existing contracts with Israel through a third country for three months." Meanwhile, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat indicated that "the Israeli claims regarding Ankara easing its trade ban with Israel are purely imaginary and have no basis in reality." The minister stated in a post on the platform X that "the trade ban that Turkey imposes on Israel will remain in place until a permanent ceasefire is achieved in Gaza and humanitarian aid flows into the sector."
