The newspaper "Turkiye" reported that the fleet of "those opposing the genocide being carried out by Israel," consisting of a thousand boats, 313 of which are from Russia, intends to head towards Israel, carrying around 4,500 people on board. According to the newspaper, approximately a thousand boats, mostly from Western countries, will set sail for the shores of Gaza, sending a message to Israel to "stop."
Volkan Okcu, who organized the Turkish part of the operation, stated in press remarks, "We will not give Israel a winning card. There will not be a single participant from Arab countries in the event," clarifying that "the largest number of participants in this event comes from Russia with 313 boats, while Spain ranks second with 104 boats. Additionally, 12 boat owners from Turkey will participate."
He added, "We hope this number will increase... We will move forward in strict adherence to international rules, without giving Israel any excuse. Our first stop will be Northern Cyprus to provide necessary supplies, and our destination after Cyprus will be the Israeli port of Ashdod," adding, "This is a reaction and civil disobedience against the inhumane massacre being perpetrated by Israel."
Around 1,000 boats from various countries will gather in Turkey on Wednesday, November 22, united by a single goal: to oppose the ongoing genocide being carried out by Israel in Gaza. About 4,500 people, holding passports from 40 different countries, participating in the fleet aim to reach Gaza by sea, with the boats scheduled to depart Turkey on November 23. Among the participants in this maritime fleet are anti-Zionist Jews. The organizers claim that "this fleet is the largest protest action to date, and they want to protect the oppressed Palestinians and elevate their cries to the entire world."
