U.S. Senate Votes to Advance Aid Package for Ukraine and Israel

The U.S. Senate voted today, Tuesday, to move forward with a $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan in preparation for potential approval later today or tomorrow, Wednesday. This will allow it to be sent to the White House for President Joe Biden to sign into law. While voting is still ongoing, the proposed foreign aid legislation received support from 65 votes, against 12 votes opposed. The package requires more than 60 supporting votes.
