The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement: "On 18/5/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the home of citizen (L.D.) in the town of Al-Areedah – Akkar and arrested him. He is wanted under multiple arrest warrants for committing crimes including shooting, extortion, theft, and armed robbery, as well as for stealing from a commercial center in Jbeil on May 2, 2023. Another patrol in the town of Al-Amara – Akkar arrested citizen (K.H.), who is wanted for committing crimes of shooting, arson of homes, and inciting conflicts that led to the death of a citizen. A military pistol was found in his possession. Investigations with the detainees have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
