Turkish Tourist Stabs Israeli Policeman in Old City of Jerusalem

Israeli media reported today, Tuesday, that a policeman was stabbed in the Old City of Jerusalem, and the assailant was killed. The Israeli police identified the injured individual as a 30-year-old border guard soldier, who was stabbed in the neck. The "Israeli Army Radio" indicated that the attacker was a Turkish citizen named Hasan Sklanan, 34 years old. In this context, Israeli forces raided the "Capital" hotel on Salah al-Din Street, where the Turkish tourist was reportedly staying. It was noted by Hebrew media that the assailant arrived in Jerusalem via Jordan yesterday. The incident occurred at the Sha'ar Shechem (Damascus Gate), and the Israeli police killed the assailant. Israeli forces closed the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City following the shooting of a young man in the Old City.
