Cautious Calm in the South... Security Personnel Injured Due to Shelling

Since 7 AM, the start of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the villages in the western and central sectors are experiencing a state of cautious calm, with no reports of Israeli shelling or military operations. The villages and towns in the Tyre district of the western sector are witnessing almost normal conditions, and traffic has returned to an acceptable flow along the coastal road extending to Naqoura. Work has also returned to normal in the Naqoura plain.

However, Israeli shelling targeted the middle of the Marjeyoun plain, with loud and consecutive explosions heard throughout the Marjeyoun district. A member of the internal security forces, identified as K.H., sustained minor injuries to his hand and leg due to shelling that targeted the vicinity of the Adaisseh police station at midnight, causing glass at the station to shatter.

Additionally, Israeli forces dropped illuminating bombs over several border towns, including Aita al-Shaab and Ramiyah, in the western sector of southern Lebanon early Friday. Artillery shelling was recorded after midnight on areas in the Al-Khayyam plain and the outskirts of the towns of Markaba and Kfar Kila in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon. On the evening prior, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes on the town of Adaisseh in the Marjeyoun district, the first near the town's mosque, causing significant damage to property and shops, and the second on the road between Adaisseh and Markaba, targeting warehouses of food supplies.
