Iraq Qualifies for Quarterfinals of the Asian Cup with Victory Over Saudi Arabia

The Iraqi Olympic team achieved victory over their Saudi counterpart in the third round of the sixth Asian Cup for Olympic teams, which serves as a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The match kicked off at 6:30 PM at the Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw, with Iraq scoring from a penalty successfully executed by player Ali Jassim in the 45th minute, while Saudi Arabia equalized with a penalty by Ahmed Al-Ghamdi in the 45+9 minute. In the second half, Iraq scored their second goal through Mustafa Saadon in the 63rd minute. Following the conclusion of the match between Tajikistan and Thailand, where Tajikistan won 1-0, Iraq qualified for the next round of the U-23 Asian Cup.
