The President of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, pointed out today, Saturday, that "our martyrs are proud of us because they see from above how we confront everyone who works against Lebanon's interests." In a memorial mass for the martyrs of Zahle, he stated, "I told them last year and I say it again today, just as they will not enter Zahle, they will not enter Baabda."
He emphasized that it is impossible for "nothing to happen in this world," citing the situation in Zahle as evidence. This serves as a very small reflection of what we have witnessed throughout Zahle, and Zahle will remain free and proud, it will not be subdued."
Geagea pointed out that "the Middle East is still a 'wild' region," where at any time, the stronger or larger may attempt to eliminate the smaller or weaker, as seen in the last ten years in Syria and currently in Gaza.
He expressed that "our martyrs this year are more pleased than in any previous year since they are assured that not a single drop of their blood went to waste, and after they have seen from their vantage point our resilience and steadfastness amid these difficult and trying circumstances."
Geagea added: "Our martyrs see how we will not allow them to impose their presidential candidate upon us, and we tell them this year as last year, we confirm again: 'Just as they will not enter Zahle, they will not enter Baabda either.'"
He concluded: "This time we are working to bring Lebanon to a final shore of safety, truly secure, threatened by stormy waves no matter how severe, where we and our children can live in comfort and tranquility, after a long struggle that has lasted for centuries and centuries to make us deserving of it."
