Deputy Jamil Sayyed published a post on the "X" platform stating, "Security is not like this." He added, "Controlling violations on the streets is not done this way." He continued, "Before you make all this commotion about cars and motorcycles, you should reopen the traffic department and the relevant offices in Beirut and the provinces. You should employ enough staff and set a reasonable deadline for the Lebanese to register their vehicles, and only then should you take your measures and show off to the people." Sayyed concluded, "What happened over the past two days is intimidation, piracy, and humiliation of security and the people, and if you think this is how the state should be, and this is how you create the authority of the state, and this is how you restore the rights of the state, and this is how you teach people to respect the state, then you don't understand anything about the state."
