Police shot a person who injured several others with a knife in "Marktplatz" square in Mannheim, Germany. According to police data released today, Friday, the assailant was injured. Among the injured is a police officer, and the authorities have not disclosed further information about the number of injured or the severity of their injuries. A police spokesperson stated that there is no longer any danger to the public. Mannheim police rushed to the square located in the city center in response to what was initially described as a major incident, and a helicopter was dispatched.
