Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, in a press conference with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, stated that there is no justification for the massacres being committed by Israel in Gaza, emphasizing that "Gaza has become an open cemetery." He added that the priority is to stop the Israeli aggression and provide humanitarian aid.
Ayman Safadi mentioned that there must be a "halt to the killing and starvation in Gaza and punishment for those who violate humanitarian and international laws," noting that the current priority is to "stop the Israeli aggression and provide humanitarian assistance." He continued that "aid is available but Israel needs to stop the weapon of starvation."
Ayman Safadi remarked that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is unacceptable and must stop, and it is clear that the world has ignored Security Council resolutions in the past, with no indication that those resolutions will be respected in the future.
In turn, the UN Secretary-General stated, "The two-state solution is the only way to achieve peace between Palestinians and Israelis," adding that "the conflict in the Middle East has begun to threaten global security." Guterres emphasized that "delivering aid to Gaza requires opening crossings, lifting Israeli restrictions on it, and increasing the pace of aid provided to Gaza," stressing that "preventing aid from reaching northern Gaza is unacceptable."
