The Polish star Robert Lewandowski confirmed that he wants to stay at Barcelona for the next season, thus ending the doubts about his near future. As for the reasons behind Lewandowski's decision to remain with the Catalan team, media sources indicate that it relates to his salary. Reports emerged that the 35-year-old player agreed to a four-year contract, with the first three years featuring a rising salary when he moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2022.
According to "Football Spain," Lewandowski earned €20 million during his first season, and the figure rose to €26 million this season. He added that the salary will increase again to €32 million next season (when Lewandowski will already be 36 years old), and in the final year of his contract, Barcelona will pay €26 million.
Thus, the total financial value of this deal will reach €104 million. This means that Lewandowski has an "offer he can't refuse" from the Catalan team, and he would not make much more than that if he decided to move to one of the Gulf clubs, according to "Football Spain."
