The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced that “as part of the ongoing security measures and pursuits carried out by military units and the Directorate of Intelligence in various regions, 5 citizens were arrested as follows:
- Citizen (M.A.) was arrested in the Al-Mina area – Tripoli for firing a weapon and possessing an unlicensed firearm.
- Citizen (A.S.) was arrested in the Al-Qoubah area – Tripoli for possessing an unlicensed firearm.
- A raid was conducted at the home of citizen (J.N.) in the town of Haql Al-Azimah – Al-Dinniyeh, resulting in his arrest and the seizure of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition.
- A raid was conducted at the home of the wanted citizen (B.A.) in the town of Kfarshalaan – Al-Dinniyeh, where a quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized, noting that he had been arrested earlier.
- Citizen (H.Y.) was arrested in the town of Bouday – Baalbek for failing to comply with the patrol's orders and attempting to flee, leading to the seizure of two military rifles, a pistol, military ammunition, and a quantity of hashish inside his vehicle.
- Raids were conducted on the homes of wanted individuals in the town of Ain Al-Souda – Baalbek, where a quantity of ammunition and drugs, as well as equipment for their manufacturing, was seized.”
It was confirmed that “the seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrested individuals commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
