The Central Health Office of the National Democratic Gathering in Lebanon and the Health Committee of the Gathering of Doctors in Lebanon have warned about the danger of the outbreak of Hepatitis A, especially after the Ministry of Public Health announced 40 cases of Hepatitis A in Kamid al-Lawz in the Western Bekaa.
The two groups highlighted the swift measures taken by the ministry, including collecting water samples and sending them to the water laboratory at Deir El Ahmar Government Hospital. They also mentioned that they have assigned several members to distribute a special pamphlet about Hepatitis A, which is a concise publication issued by the Gathering of Doctors in Lebanon. This pamphlet outlines the causes, symptoms, and prevention methods for citizens in various towns and neighborhoods.
In conclusion, the two groups called on the Ministry of Public Health to coordinate and collaborate with all health entities, organizations, and their governmental, private, and community centers to combat the spread of this viral epidemic.
