Flights Suspended at London Luton Airport Due to Major Fire

London Luton Airport announced the suspension of all flights until noon on Wednesday due to a large fire that caused partial structural collapse in one of its car parks. The airport management, located north of the British capital about 40 km from the city center, stated, "The safety of our passengers and staff remains our top priority, and therefore we have decided to suspend all flights until 12:00 pm on Wednesday."

The fire broke out around 9:00 PM in a recently built car park serving low-cost airlines. British media footage showed a multi-story building on fire, while witnesses on social media reported explosions. The fire resulted in five injuries that were taken to the hospital; according to the local ambulance service's post on X (formerly Twitter), the injured included four firefighters and an airport staff member. Additionally, there was a sixth injury, but it was minor, and treatment was administered on-site.
