Israeli Army Increases Readiness on the Northern Front

The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, announced that "the army is raising its readiness on the northern front, where the Northern Command conducted intensive drills last week to enhance combat efficiency and war preparedness." He indicated, in a statement on the platform "X," that "as part of the training plans for the reserve battalions deployed along the northern border in recent months, fighters from the Northern Reserve Paratrooper Brigade (226) trained, as well as specialized engineering forces in urban warfare, specifically in densely populated residential areas under winter weather conditions; in line with the terrain of the northern front."

Adraee claimed that "the fighters trained at various levels, starting from the squad level up to the levels of the combat units that include tanks, infantry soldiers, engineering, and artillery," pointing out that "the National Center for Ground Forces Training has supervised over 100 training days to date, including more than 20 exercises at the battalion level and over 100 exercises at the company level."

Moreover, Adraee announced that "warplanes recently targeted several locations belonging to Hezbollah inside Lebanon, including a military site and a military building in Blida and Marouhin, used by Hezbollah operatives, in addition to other structures in Aita al-Shab." He mentioned in a statement on the platform "X" that "following an alert about the infiltration of an aerial object into northern Israel earlier today, air defenses intercepted a suspicious aerial target within Lebanon, believed to be approaching Israeli territory. Several shells were also reported launched from Lebanon towards Israeli territory."
