Title: Al-Rai: Lebanon Cannot Be Manipulated by Not Electing a President

The Maronite Patriarch Bechara Al-Rai announced during his sermon today, Sunday, that "Lebanon cannot be manipulated by not electing a president because that undermines the covenant of coexistence. The preamble of the constitution states that no authority is legitimate if it contradicts coexistence." He added, "Our people are praying for the salvation of Lebanon from war and the election of a president (the only guarantor of the constitution)."
