Tel Aviv and Washington on High Alert

The Israeli website "Walla" reported that a senior Israeli official stated that Tel Aviv is on high alert in anticipation of an attack following strikes on Yemeni cities. The official said, "There is a state of high alert for a response on Friday night from Iranian proxies against Israel." He added, "Iran is the root of the problem in the entire region."

In parallel, the "Axios" website quoted an Israeli official saying that we were previously informed of the American strikes in Yemen and Israel, and we are on high alert in anticipation of any retaliation.

On the American side, a U.S. official stated that the American and British strikes carried out on Friday would have a significant impact on the Houthi's ability to attack ships in the Red Sea. The U.S. official added that American and British forces in the Red Sea are prepared to defend themselves following the airstrikes in Yemen, noting that there is no intention to escalate after the strikes on Houthi targets.

He clarified that Houthi activities pose a threat to the U.S. and the world, holding Iran responsible for the role it plays in attacks against American forces. He continued, "We believe that Iran is involved in every stage of the Houthi attacks, and we would not be surprised to see some form of retaliation from the Houthis against these strikes." The American official indicated that the strikes on Yemen were precisely directed at the military capabilities of the Houthis and that they sought to avoid collateral damage.
