Bouhabib: The Response to Attacking the Lebanese Army will be Diplomatic

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bouhabib, announced in an interview with the Qatari channel "Al-Arabi" that "we will inform the United Nations about the targeting of the Lebanese Army by the Israeli Army." He pointed out that "the Lebanese response will be diplomatic, and Lebanon does not want war," explaining that "Lebanon is a victim of what Israel is doing in the south and in Gaza." Bouhabib confirmed that he "welcomes the implementation of UN Resolution 1701, and the violations come from the Israeli side," considering that "Israeli leaders are leading a campaign to eliminate the peoples in Lebanon and Gaza." Abdullah Bouhabib had also affirmed, following his meeting with representatives from Switzerland, Denmark, and the Norwegian Chargé d'Affaires, that "Lebanon is committed to Resolution 1701 and demands that Israel stop its air, land, and sea violations of Lebanon's sovereignty." He also emphasized "the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza."
