A residential building collapsed yesterday, Sunday, in the Karmouz neighborhood of Alexandria, Egypt, on the Mediterranean coast. Rescue teams successfully retrieved 9 individuals, including children. Search operations continue in an effort to reach any citizens beneath the rubble. The building was old, housing 7 families, and had previously been issued a demolition order, which was postponed for various reasons. The collapse of the building resulted in damage to several cars and affected others in the surrounding streets.
