Klopp: Liverpool Needs a

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp believes the injury-plagued team needs a "miracle" given the uncertainties around the participation of several key players in tomorrow's fifth-round match of the FA Cup against Southampton. Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who was injured during the victory over Chelsea last Sunday in the EFL Cup final, is the latest addition to the list of absentees for the match. Klopp stated, "Ryan is unavailable... it's a ligament injury, and it could be much worse. But it's bad enough to exclude him from the next match... We'll see." He added, "We need miracles with several players. That's why I don't want to rule them out for a long time. But it concerns several players."

Klopp mentioned that attacking duo Mohamed Salah and Darwin Núñez, who missed the EFL Cup final, are also uncertain for tomorrow's match, saying, "We have to see what they can do today." The German coach expressed appreciation for the team's depth and young talents and their role in the team's performances this season, including winning the EFL Cup. Klopp noted, "Our team is deeper than we thought. I've said this several times, without the young players, we wouldn't have reached here, and Sunday’s story was one of the best football stories ever. Our kids played youthful football; they recently emerged and lack experience, but they have plenty of talent." However, Klopp is concerned that a short recovery period could cause issues when facing Southampton, who currently sit fourth in the second division standings.
