Arrest of Citizen Involved in Drug Trafficking at Airport Road

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to track down those involved in drug trafficking and to arrest them, the Central Anti-Drug Office in the Judicial Police Unit received information about a drug dealer operating in the Airport Road area. Following extensive surveillance and investigations, the officers were able to identify the suspect, named M. L. (born in 1994, Lebanese). On April 3, 2024, after monitoring him, a joint force from the aforementioned office and the special group in the Judicial Police Unit set up a tight ambush which led to his arrest while he was riding a motorcycle. Upon searching him, a quantity of drugs was found, divided and ready for distribution, which included: - 38 envelopes of cocaine - 3 plastic containers containing cocaine - 5 bags of hashish - cash from drug sales. An investigation is underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
