Deputy Abdul Rahman Al-Buzzri expressed his regret over the "lack of medications for treating Viral Hepatitis C and B at the Ministry of Health," forcing many patients to obtain them through various means from abroad, despite these diseases being classified as chronic illnesses, and despite the proven effectiveness of these medications in curing the disease and reducing its complications. He added, "We have transformed from a leading country in the treatment of viral liver diseases to a nation that neglects these illnesses despite their seriousness, and we urge the Ministry of Health to secure these medications to reach those in need."
