"The Quintet" Resumes Its Movement and Meets with the "National Accord" Bloc (Photos)

A meeting was held today, Tuesday, between the ambassadors of the Quintet and the "National Accord" bloc, which includes deputies Faisal Karamé, Hassan Murad, Taha Naji, Adnan Traboulsi, and Mohammad Yahya. After its meeting with the Quintet, "National Accord" announced that "the countries are keen to find a solution and stated that the only solution is dialogue through constitutional institutions." Deputy Faisal Karamé indicated that "it is clear there is no salvation or solution except through dialogue, and it is also clear that the Quintet has great confidence in President Berri." He added, "The name we support is known, and we are ready to defend it to the end." The Quintet will visit Bnachii on Wednesday to meet with the head of the Marada Movement and presidential candidate Sleiman Frangieh, and will also meet with the head of the Kataeb Party, Deputy Sami Gemayel. Additionally, the Quintet's delegation will meet with the MPs of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc without the participation of the American ambassador, Lisa Johnson, and the Saudi ambassador, Walid Bukhari. They will also meet in the coming days with the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, in the absence of the American ambassador.
