The Lebanese Red Cross announced in a statement that, "In support of the resilience of families in the border areas of southern Lebanon, between March 20 and April 3, aid was distributed to families, benefiting 4,260 families, with each family receiving two packages: one for food and the other for hygiene. This occurred in 29 towns located within a geographical area 5 km and 10 km from the border line. The Lebanese Red Cross will continue to distribute aid to families in the border areas to support their resilience according to the established plan and available resources. These aids are distributed in coordination with disaster management rooms in the Nabatieh and South governorates, municipal unions, and municipalities, with the support of partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement."
It clarified that, "The Lebanese Red Cross teams remain in their centers deployed in southern Lebanon, and since October 8, 2023, they have been carrying out their humanitarian tasks and services such as transporting injuries, emergencies, and patients to hospitals and then home. They have conducted 9,583 regular and emergency missions, in addition to transporting 35 martyrs and 62 wounded individuals. Furthermore, 2,835 blood units have been distributed to the injured and patients in hospitals, benefiting approximately 17,133 people from social medical services. As part of awareness efforts on how to act during armed conflict, 52 public sessions have been implemented."
