Saudi Arabia Launches

The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, confirmed to Al Arabiya that the ministry is working on developing more flexible and faster transportation technologies and means during this year's Hajj season, similar to the "flying taxi" and "drones" to utilize modern technologies to facilitate pilgrims' journey during their rituals. Al-Jasser stated that these are modern models of transportation, noting that there are companies competing to provide practical transportation products in the coming years. He emphasized the need to be ready to understand these technologies and their appropriateness for the environment, as well as the operating conditions for these seasons.

The transportation and logistics services system, represented by the transportation system, achieved integration with various sectors concerned with Hajj affairs to ensure safe and smooth access for the guests of Allah via air, land, and sea transportation. Last year, its efforts included launching the largest operational plan involving more than 38,000 qualified personnel across various air, land, sea, rail, and road sectors, from the moment pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom, passing through the holy sites, until they complete their rituals and depart for their countries.
