Return: The Forces of Evil, Corruption, and Deception Will Not Prevail Against Lebanon

Metropolitan Elias Audi of Beirut and its dependencies for the Greek Orthodox Church presided over a mass at St. George's Cathedral, attended by a large crowd of believers. After the Gospel, he delivered a sermon in which he stated: "Many doubt Lebanon's ability to rise. The forces of evil, corruption, and deception will not be able to prevail against it, even if they seem the strongest and have overcome those clinging to truth and goodness, for falsehood will be crushed and evil will be defeated. This prolonged night will end as long as there are honorable men and women working to save it from the claws of corruption and evil that have taken root in some dark hearts, which have spent years draining it, exploiting its energies, plundering its wealth, and emptying it of its role and its people, hindering the election of a president and disrupting the work of institutions."
