American star Kelly Rowland revealed the details of a verbal altercation that occurred between her and a security guard on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, accusing the French security of racism. The 43-year-old singer stated, "The security guard knows what happened, and I know what happened... I have boundaries and I stick to them," adding, "There were other women on the carpet like me who were not scolded or pushed or told to get off."
Earlier, photographers captured Kelly during the premiere of the film "Marcello Mio," where she was standing to take pictures while being rushed by a security guard, who placed her arm around her to usher her into the theater, which angered the singer, prompting her to shout as she ascended the stairs.
Kelly Rowland commented on the incident: “There were other women on that red carpet who did not look like me that were not scolded, or pushed off, or told to get off. I set my boundary. I stood my ground and she stood hers.”
