Internet connectivity in East Africa was disrupted on Sunday due to damage to undersea cables, as announced by the NetBlocks organization that monitors internet networks. The organization reported that Tanzania and the French island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean were the most affected, while Mozambique, Malawi, Burundi, Somalia, Rwanda, Uganda, the Comoros, and Madagascar were impacted to varying degrees, in addition to Sierra Leone in West Africa.
