Russia and China Working on "Modern Aircraft"

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov indicated that "Russia and China are working on a project for modern aircraft." This statement was made during his meeting with radio stations "Sputnik," "Govoritye Moskva," and "Komsomolskaya Pravda." He added, "A significant part of our investment cooperation is occupied by high technology, including nuclear energy and the creation of new modern aircraft, among other things." According to him, trade between Russia and China continues to grow after registering record figures in 2023. He noted that he sees no issue with the large number of Chinese goods in Russia, including cars. Russia and China are working on the CR929 wide-body passenger aircraft project for long distances. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in September 2023 that negotiations regarding the wide-body aircraft with China have been ongoing for a long time, and there has been progress in this regard.
