Member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc, MP Ali Hassan Khalil, indicated that "the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, initiated condolences for the murder of Pascal Suleiman, which is a sincere expression of our condemnation of the crime. At the same time, we say that national responsibility requires not to be drawn into sectarian and regional incitement and the throwing of accusations. Incitement leads to further tension, and full trust must be placed in the army, security forces, and the judicial authorities responsible for uncovering the circumstances of this crime, which is condemned by all standards. The criminals must be punished; they have no sect or religion." He reaffirmed, on behalf of President Berri, the "commitment of the Amal Movement to preserve national unity and protect civil peace, and not to allow anyone to undermine them."
Khalil, in his speech representing the Speaker of Parliament and President of the Amal Movement, Nabih Berri, at the commemorative event marking the third day since the murder of Moussa Al-Moussawi, Mohamed Ali Wahbi, and Mohamed Chait at the Husseiniya Club in Nabatiyeh, stated that "we look forward to the necessity that all Lebanese benefit from what is happening in Lebanon and the region in order to favor dialogue and openness to come together to formulate a unified vision to solve our national crises, from the presidential election to the refugee crisis, reaching everything that enhances the Lebanese people's trust in their state and the world's trust in Lebanon as a message and role."
