Title: "Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Resolves 61.3% of Family Disputes Amicably in 2023"

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department successfully achieved an amicable settlement for approximately 61.3% of family disputes presented to family guidance committees during 2023, with a total of 15,667 family disputes. Furthermore, 5,969 cases were referred to the competent courts as part of efforts to strengthen a culture of tolerance and encourage amicable resolution of disagreements, ensuring the cohesion and stability of families.

Youssef Saeed al-Abri, the Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, emphasized the department's commitment to promoting alternative dispute resolution as part of its efforts to apply best practices and innovative methods that adhere to the highest quality standards, aiming for reconciliation and amicable settlements in family disputes as well as civil, commercial, and real estate disputes. This aligns with the directives of the UAE Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to enhance efforts supporting family stability and community cohesion.

Youssef al-Abri also mentioned the continued implementation of initiatives by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department aimed at solidifying a culture of alternative solutions to end disputes and achieve amicable agreements without referral to the competent courts, contributing to the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence in a harmonious and understanding environment under the rule of law, thereby achieving justice to support the competitive position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
