Controversial Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets has resurfaced with warnings of imminent earthquakes expected tomorrow or the day after, according to his predictions. The expert shared a tweet today, Saturday, via his account on the platform "X," referencing the SSGEOS astronomical agency he leads, which indicates that the planetary alignment involving Mercury and Venus on May 24-25 suggests the possibility of a significant earthquake, likely between May 26 and 27.
He stated that planetary conjunctions with Mercury might lead to increased seismic activity throughout the week.
The head of the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), Hoogerbeets has caused considerable panic worldwide with his predictions, linking them to planetary alignments in space that create "critical geometry" affecting Earth and causing earthquakes, based on a theory he strongly defends. Some of his predictions have coincided with recent earthquakes that struck various parts of the globe, and he has reminded his followers that he had forecasted those earthquakes in previous postings, even specifying some of the affected areas.
Scientific Rejection
It is notable that all scientists reject Hoogerbeets' controversial theories, asserting they are unscientific and stating that there is no correlation between planetary movements and seismic activity on Earth. They emphasize that predicting earthquakes remains highly uncertain, with modern science having made strides in forecasting weather accurately and designing mathematical equations that can predict astronomical phenomena like eclipses. However, experts agree that there is currently no method to predict earthquakes, whether through planetary motion or otherwise, warning against individuals posing as experts who incite fear and concern among the public for the sake of fame or social media engagement.
