Paris Comments on Burkina Faso's Expulsion of 3 French Diplomats

France expressed regret today, Thursday, over Burkina Faso's decision to expel three French diplomats and personnel due to "subversive activities," stating that it is not based on "any legitimate grounds." French Foreign Ministry Deputy Spokesperson Christophe Lumouan said, "The decision by the authorities in Burkina Faso has no legitimate basis." He noted that the accusations against the French diplomats are "unfounded." Earlier today, Burkina Faso's Foreign Ministry declared the three French diplomats at the embassy in Ouagadougou as "personae non gratae" due to "subversive activities" and requested that they leave the country.
