Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Musa, pointed out that the visit of French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian to Lebanon came in coordination and interaction with the activities of the five-member committee. He stated via "Al-Jadeed" that Le Drian's impression is positive and he was relatively reassured by what he heard from the political forces, as he believes that these positions can be built upon to achieve progress in the presidential file. He continued: "Consultations are a natural process to reach a result, and the opinion of the 'Forces' is that having Speaker Nabih Berri chair these consultations is a precedent." He added: "Political work continues, and as a five-member committee, we must overcome obstacles, and we are interacting with what we receive from the political forces."
